Quading thru Siem Reap, Cambodia

Not something we would normally do and because my cousin Megan is traveling with us at the moment, we knew it was something she would enjoy. So we decided to give it a try, and boy, we were so glad we did!  The Cambodian countryside is breathtaking. We went through villages and vast open spaces. It is the dry season right now, so the roads were very dusty, it looked like someone spread cocoa or cinnamon powder on everything (in the wet season, you are covered by mud)! It was a very bumpy ride, and I think Jason was trying to hit all the dips to see how high I would bounce! The two hour journey went by very fast and it was a lot of fun.

Besides the stunning scenery, a favourite part of the experience were seeing the happy children. They could hear us coming and would run up to the side of the road. Some would wave at you with such enthusiasm that it made your heart burst with happiness while others waved with hesitation but once you waved back to them their face lit up with joy!

A reception like that and the beauty of the landscape we saw is something that will not be forgotten.
