The beauty of Ha Long Bay, Vietnam
Before we left Vietnam, we visited Ha Long Bay (or Halong Bay), a few hours drive from Hanoi. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site comprising of approximately 2,000 islets, most of which are limestone. It is a site to be seen. Because the drive from Hanoi is a few hours, at the last minute we opted for the overnight trip on a boat! We watched the sun set and rise in Ha Long Bay. What a way to end and start a day!

NOTE: please dispose of your garbage properly. It is very unfortunate the area is not being treated with respect and it is littered with garbage which detracts from the beauty and magnificence of the islets.
